BRIANNA LINNEAR

School: Rangeview High School

Year: Sophomore

Height: 5-foot-8

2018-19 average: 9.6 points, 3.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds, 2.1 steals

Season highlights: Rangeview secured eight more wins than the previous season, as coach La Monte Weddle’s team was victorious 20 times, earned a first round bye in the Class 5A state playoffs and advanced to the Sweet 16. The Raiders matured in a lot of ways and the continued growth of Linnear was noticeable as she took on a larger role and contributed more in every area than she did as a regular in her freshman season. Linnear scored in double figures in 13 of Rangeview’s 25 games, topped by a 20-point output against Hinkley, while she ended up third on her team in scoring average at 9.6 points per contest. She led the Raiders with an average of 3.7 assists per game, finished in the top three in steals and top five in rebounding on her way to honorable mention All-EMAC honors and a spot in the A-Town All-Star Game for the first time.

Linnear vs. Aurora teams: vs. Eaglecrest (3 rebounds, 3 assists); vs. Cherokee Trail (19 points, 2 rebounds); vs. Hinkley (20 points, 3 assists, 4 steals); vs. Vista PEAK (15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals; 11 points, 2 assists); vs. Aurora Central (11 points, 5 assists, 2 steals); vs. Gateway (5 points, 5 assists, 3 steals)
