Season highlights: The veteran Thompson’s presence made life easier for Robert Dennis in his first season as Overland head coach, a campaign in which the Trailblazers finished 8-16 and qualified for the Class 5A state playoffs. Thompson earned All-Centennial League second team accolades for her season, in which she led her team in scoring average at 9.5 points per game, which included a season-high 20-point outburst in a win over Cherokee Trail. The Prairie View A&M recruit also led The Trailblazers with 2.2 steals per game, while she also chipped in three rebounds and dished out 1.1 assists per contest. Thompson is a repeat A-Town All-Star Girls Game selection
