LEILAH VIGIL

School: Grandview High School

Year: Senior

Height: 5-foot-10

2017-18 averages: 15.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.7 steals per game

Season highlights: Coach Josh Ulitzky’s Grandview team finished 25-3 and repeated as Class 5A state champions with a group of players who had clearly defined roles and Vigil did exactly what it took to help her team win. The All-Centennial League first teamer — who signed with Division I University of Missouri-Kansas City prior to the season — brought intensity and fire to each and every game, especially when the Wolves needed it most. Vigil bumped her scoring average up from last season by nearly two full points per game to a team-leading 15.7 points per contest, which included a high of 29 points in league play against Arapahoe. She averaged 7.9 rebounds per game to rank second on her team and she had eight double-doubles, including three in five playoff games, plus 1.7 steals per contest. Vigil — a repeat A-Town All-Star Girls Game selection — has also been selected to play in the Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports All-State Game at 3 p.m. March 18 at Arvada West High School.
