Height: 5-foot-8

2022-23 averages: 12.8 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals

Season highlights: In the wake of a 1-21 season in 2022, Gateway surged to a 14-10 record, the Colorado League regular season championship and a berth in the Class 5A state playoffs, which marked the program’s first postseason appearance since 2019. Coach Ibn Shabazz saw improvement from the players that returned from the previous season, while Arce gave the Olys an injection of offense in the backcourt that they needed. He was the most accomplished outside shooter for Gateway in terms of made 3-pointers with a team-high 36 and he also attacked the basket and drew fouls, where he took advantage of his strong ability to knock down free throws. Those tools helped him lead the team in scoring average on the strength of 13 games in double figures. Arce’s season-high of 24 points came in a win over rival Aurora Central on Jan. 31. He is a first-time A-Town All-Star Game participant.
