Season highlights: Coach Ken Shaw’s Regis Jesuit team ended the season with 15 wins after it made it to at least the Class 5A Sweet 16 for a third straight season before losing to Chatfield. The Raiders lost a large group of contributors from a 2021 Great 8 team and Sandler was one of only a few returning players who had seen significant action. He had a strong senior season that landed him All-Continental League first team recognition after he finished second on his team in scoring at 12.3 points per game and led the way in rebounding at 10.9 per contest as one of only a few Aurora players to average a double-double for the season and he also averaged 1.6 assists per game. His season-high of 19 points came in a win over Rock Canyon and his high game of 16 rebounds came in Regis Jesuit’s overtime road win over eventual semifinalist Denver East. Sandler is a first-time selection for the A-Town All-Star Game.
