Season highlights: Redding was part of the backcourt that provided the “engine” for coach Danny Fisher’s Overland team, which bounced back from a 1-7 start and went on to win the Centennial League championship and reach the Great 8 round of the Class 5A state playoffs. Redding was the Centennial League’s leading vote-getter in balloting of league coaches in the wake of a season in which he averaged a team-high 13.5 points per game in addition to pacing the Trailblazers with 3.0 assists, ranked second in steals 1.2 per game and third in rebounding 3.5 per contest.
