School: Vista PEAK Prep High School

Year: Junior

Height: 6-foot-3

2018-19 averages: 12.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 0.9 steals

Season highlights: LaCabe stepped up to fill some of the void left by the graduation of leading scorer Te’Rae Johnson — a two-time selection for the A-Town All-Star Game — and he was able to do so by upping his scoring average by more than four points for coach Keenon Clement’s team, which finished 12-12 and qualified for the playoffs in its first season in Class 5A. LaCabe’s season-high in his sophomore year was 17 points, a total he surpassed eight times as a junior, including a season-high 27 points against Aurora Central. LaCabe’s team-high average of 12.7 points per game were aided much by his ability to get to the free throw line and he also led the Bison with an average of 5.5 rebounds per game on his way to All-EMAC second team honors. He will play in the A-Town All-Star Game for the first time.

LaCabe vs. Aurora teams: vs. Aurora Central (27 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals); vs. Rangeview (18 points, 4 rebounds; 8 points, 9 rebounds); vs. Gateway (24 points, 6 rebounds)
