Season highlights: Collins was limited to just eight games as a junior because of a broken arm, but returned to provide a needed boost for coach Shawn Palmer’s Rangeview team, which finished 18-7 and made the second round of the Class 5A state playoffs. Collins didn’t just return, he played at an All-East Metro Conference first team level as he finished second on his team in scoring average at 9.6 points per game — topped by a 19-point effort against Arapahoe — and paced his team in rebounding at 8.2 rebounds per game. Collins had eight double-digit rebounding efforts and five of them were part of double-doubles.
