MORGAN BROWN
School: Eaglecrest High School
Year: Senior
Height: 6-foot-4
2017-18 averages: 10.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 0.7 blocked shots per game
Season highlights: One of the few returning varsity regulars from the Class 5A state championship-winning 2016-17 team, Brown saw an expanded role performed at an All-Centennial League second team level as he helped Eaglecrest to a 14-11 record and a spot in the Class 5A Sweet 16 in its first season under coach Jarris Krapcha. Brown was one of two Raptors with a double-digit scoring average at 10.7 points per game — up from 3.4 ppg the previous season and with a season-high 20-point effort against Cherokee Trail — and he ranked second on the team in that category, while he led the team in rebounding (5.2) and blocked shots (0.7) per game. Brown recorded his only double-double (15 points, 12 rebounds) in Eaglecrest’s near-upset of No. 1 Rock Canyon in the Sweet 16. He is a first-time A-Town All-Star Boys Game selection and a competitor in the inaugural slam dunk contest.
Brown vs. Aurora teams: vs. vs. Overland (9 points, 5 rebounds; 3 points, 6 rebounds); vs. Grandview (7 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists; 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocked shots); vs. Smoky Hill (9 points, 3 rebounds; 9 points, 4 rebounds); vs. Cherokee Trail (8 points, 4 rebounds; 20 points, 6 rebounds); vs. Rangeview (8 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocked shots)
