AURORA | The sexual harassment resolution Aurora City Council members have been working through for over a month may finally have a resolution Monday night.

The measure is near the top of the agenda for the regular meeting, as promised following a two-hour sexual harassment training at a special study session held last week. Some council members said they felt uncomfortable passing the measure before a training was completed.

Councilman Charlie Richardson brought the resolution to council after the #MeToo movement took social media by storm late last year. The resolution would prevent taxpayer money from being used in defending council members and department heads if they didn’t attend a sexual harassment training.

Aurora City Council will convene at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers at the Aurora Municipal Center.
