AURORA | A man was shot and killed in north Aurora Monday evening, though police have released few additional details.

The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office has identified the man killed in the shooting as Leroy Marcus Devan, 42. His death has been ruled a homicide.

Investigators said Devan was fatally shot near 1330 Alton Street shortly after 9:30 p.m. Jan. 25, according to tweets from the Aurora Police Department.

Detectives were still working to develop information on a possible suspect or suspects as of Tuesday morning.

Anyone with potential information related to this shooting is encouraged to call the Denver Metro Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for rewards up to $2,000.

The shooting late Monday occurred just three days after another man was shot and killed in the same neighborhood. Police on Friday said investigators found a man with a fatal gunshot wound inside of a car shortly after 12:30 p.m. The Adams County Coroner’s Office has yet to publicly identify the man killed in that shooting.

  1. Something I have been thinking about but don’t know who i should talk with about this…..
    Back in the 80s amd 90s there was a campain I believe was nation wide. “Let all get along” another version was “Can’t we all just get along” Here in Colorado it worked. I personally took that to heart and had alot of friends in my life because we believed we could get along dispite all the conflicts that were happening. Let’s try it again. It may help and it will remind people that we can get along.
