Man shot dead in southwest Aurora condominium parking lot


AURORA | A man has died after being found shot in a southwest Aurora condominium complex Wednesday, according to Aurora police. 

Patrol officers responded to a call of a shooting at the Telegraph Hills II Condos, located near the intersection of South Peoria Street and East Yale Avenue, at around 4:25 p.m. March 3, police said in a news release. They found an “adult male” who had been shot, though it’s not clear where on his body or how many times he was shot. 

The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office identified the man who was killed as Brian Cedric Harris, 18. His death has been ruled a homicide.

The shooting is an isolated incident, police said, and they don’t believe a danger to the public exists. No information about a suspect or motive was immediately available to the public. 

Police say anybody with information about the shooting should call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could earn a reward of up to $2,000.
