AURORA | Aurora police are searching for the driver of a black Subaru Legacy believed to have struck and seriously injured an older woman near the intersection of East Colfax Avenue and Kingston Street Wednesday night.
Police said the Subaru driver fled the area after striking and wounding an “elderly female victim” around 7 p.m. March 3, according to tweets.
The woman who was struck was in critical condition after the collision, authorities said.
Investigators believe the vehicle that struck the woman will have damage on the driver’s side of the vehicle. The Subaru was last seen traveling south on Kingston Street.
The eastbound lanes of Colfax were closed for more than an hour Wednesday evening as traffic investigators processed the scene.
Investigators are asking anyone with potential information related to this collision to call the Denver Metro Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for rewards up to $2,000.
