As (r)’s shamelessly gerrymander their states to steal majorities and yet represent less then 40% of the US population, perhaps it is time to introduce legislation that gerrymanders Democratically controlled states to freeze out republicans.
If that happens in enough states, it would for one, get more Democrats in Washington to more accurately represent the country, and maybe in the long run, force republicans to agree to perhaps a national non-partisan board that could use science, technology and math to make all the districts more fair. (I have read that there are logarithms that can do this easily with current numbers and are not very hard to use)
I know, no one really likes gerrymandering, but just sitting around and trying to fix everything that (r)s break every time while they continue to use underhanded tactics to keep power is definitely not working! Getting Democrats elected to write good legislation and go back to running the country as a democracy again instead of an oligarchy, is not that far of a reach in my opinion.
It might be a longer term solution, but I hope Democrats are considering using gerrymandering in their favor both here in Colorado, and across the country in the more populous blue states.
