I know the Donald Trump thing is a mystery. Let me clear it up:
1. Many Americans love money more than anything.
2. Many Americans think people with lots of money are smarter and better than them, because they have lots of money. And many people with lots of money believe that, too.
3. Many Americans overlook creepy, delinquent, hateful or outright criminal behavior from rich people, because they have lots of money.
4. Many Americans think Donald trump is a creepy delinquent, but he has lots of money.
5. Many Americans believe that if we put a creepy, delinquent rich man in charge of stuff, we, too, could become rich, creepy delinquents, despite the fact this has never happened one time in the history of the planet.
6. Many Americans don’t care about that fact, because many Americans aren’t all that bright.
7. If you doubt that, see No.1. If you dispute the wisdom of adoring money, President Trump will provide you with a giddy, albeit ultimately disappointing, four-year ride. Mystery solved.

Funny but, the throngs of people (thousands) who are showing up at Trump events are the ones who feel we’ve been taken on a giddy, albeit ultimately disappointing 8 year ride with Obama.
Hey Dave, let’s have a look at your accomplishments versus Donald’s. Share with us the great things you’ve done for America to improve it. Please don’t point to being a journalist because you don’t seem to care about fact based reporting. Someone needs to give Dave Perry a ticket for littering every time he writes.
How many people do you employ? How many charities do you support with your time? How much money do you give to those charities each year? Are you married to an immigrant? Trump is and she did it the good ole fashioned legal way. How have you helped and supported our troops? Veterans? Seniors? National and local police?
Oh, that’s right, you supported Oates. Every chance you get, you write another story about Falco and each time, you get the facts wrong. You’ve heard the facts yet, won’t make a correction which tells me, you want to intentionally lie to the public. While I’m still on this topic, looks to me like Russia didn’t send us their best either.
The only people who could really tell you what this sanctuary city is all about, are the police officers who work the streets. However, if they want to keep their jobs, they won’t.
In the end, and especially during the Falco case, you were practically mesmerized with Chief Dan Oates and his lucky sanctuary city, over the top, low crime rate percentage. Well, I guess crime is down when you’re the type of cop that changes burglaries to larceny. Or, you’ve got your head so far up the rump of Oates making him and yourself look good, they call you “The Transporter”.
Nah, you wouldn’t care about that! It’s so much easier and less time consuming to agree with Noe and Council when they say Aurora is the 12th safest city. We have plenty of cops who are an extremely well paid group of thugs and racists if they dare speak the truth about illegal immigrants, right?
Finally, the people who have done financially well in life, aren’t the ones who focus on money and love it so. It’s the people who didn’t put the effort into making any, that want more of it, and expect the successful people to hand half of their hard earned dollars over to them for free.
This comment proves Dave’s point. “Many Americans aren’t that bright”.
Dave, you are projecting your own feeble-mindedness onto the rest of the US population, but I guess that’s just a natural result of your being an arrogant, condescending, self-worshiping narcissist.
He worships Obama also.
And go go worships ignorance.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
But you adore at the feet of Obama, correct? Trump is a breath of fresh air, he tells the truth, he’s not a politician, he’s a businessman, who would you rather have ‘making a deal with Iran’, Kerry or Trump? Even an idiot like you can see the folly in what they’re trying to pull off. Idiocy.
Obama is making plenty of deals, none of them enhance the lives of Americans.
As a former “community organizer”, he sure has enhanced his own. Yet, Dave won’t mention that.
Then there’s poor Bill and Hillary who left the White House broke. They’re extremely wealthy now that they accept campaign contributions from places that support terrorism. Not to mention Bill’s speaking engagements.
Oh, I almost left good ole Bernie Sanders out of the stellar line up of people Dave might hold in higher esteem. Ah yes, Mr. Sanders who wants socialism. Since he’s basically poverty stricken compared to the Obama’s and Clinton’s, and hasn’t made a go of it with his personal finances. Maybe he’s the guy who should call all the shots on running this country next go round? He sounds like a swell and very caring guy who will figure out how to get Americans back to work.
Ashley, the money paid to the Clinton’s for speaking engagements go deeper than just dealing with terrorist countries, he did some of them in advance of deals being made to enrich those same entities or countries, some while she was Sec. of State. It smacks of impropriety, but you won’t hear Perry or any other Dem speak of them.
Oh yes, I’m up to date and watching them all. As of this morning, Obama signed a nuclear deal with Iran and he expects they will stick to the agreement. These are the people who pray and chant “Death to America” and who refer to us as “The Great Satan”. Yeah, there’s where you want to put your trust!
nothing that President Obama does, or has accomplished,
would satisfy a certain group of people. Would you prefer
to go to war with Iran? Please note that other nations were
working on an agreement with Iran – not just the USA.
I’m all for bombing Iran. However, I’m somewhat of a moderate as I would bomb them back to the Middle Ages rather back to the Stone Age … as many others would like.
We know Joe. You read Animal Farm and have all the answers.
I don’t prefer war with anybody. However, I believe we will be at war with Iran eventually.
No doubt ashley. You and go go are certainly up to date. We can tell. Keep em coming.
You listen to Dr go go ashley. Between the two of you we can count on “up to date” nonsense. Trust me.
“Smacks of impropriety”! Simply mind boggling. go go must be on to another conspiracy idea. Stay tuned folks. go go the oracle is about to pass more gas.
You are perfect, pathetic example of what is wrong with the country. You hide behind your keyboard dumping your vitriolic anger against anyone who might happen to disagree with you. It is not even remotely entertaining and ads nothing to the conversation. I picture you sitting in your darkened post-war bungalow, wrapped in your tattered blanky that was given to you by your dead wife. Filled with despair and depression. With nothing in your life but to dump rage and discontent on people on a comment board. All of your posts are the same. Invective laced ad hominem attacks that are completely devoid of substance.
You have every right to offer an opinion but at least try to do something other than incite people. Try to contribute something worthwhile. Every one of your posts is juvenile and lends nothing. Freaking bitter old fart with nothing better to do than dump on those who think differently.
You also never provide an original thought. Every post is either hyperbole or schoolyard insults. You cut and paste everything and are unable to offer a position on an issue.
Trump might be a breath of fresh air to gofastgo, but he lies just like the rest of them. It has been proven that illegal immigrants do not overwhelmingly commit crimes. He stated we should have invaded Mexico instead of Iraq!
He has very liberal views on social issues – you’d be suprised. Just because
he’s not a politician, you actually would vote for him. That’s crazy!
He’s an egomaniac, appealing to the haters in society.
70% of the prison population in California is Hispanic and black. A large percentage of those are illegals. ‘it has been proven’ means absolutely nothing, you and Geraldo see eye to eye, I do not. Trump indeed is an egotist, and also a smart businessman, not what made the ‘deal’ with Iran, Kerry and Obama, what a pair. When you make a statement like ‘haters’ you identify yourself as a liberal, or a ‘tolerant’, accepting of any behavior, no matter the consequence.
I’m an independent – a voter that is appalled at Trump’s
arrogance and bullying tactics. You might admire him
because you share some of his deplorable traits. let’s
see how you like Trump after the debates. Should be
interesting. Expect Trump to call candidates “weak”
“babies”, “stupid”, and “losers.”
As an independent, are you appalled by the arrogance and bullying tactics of this?
Despite a legal obligation to allow Congress to review the Iran nuclear agreement for 60 days, the Obama administration will press ahead with a U.N. Security Council resolution enshrining the deal, likely within days.
Or, how about this?
“We will be introducing a U.N. Security Council resolution perhaps as early as next week,” a senior administration official told reporters in a background conference call from Vienna, hours after the final agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was announced.
The official said the resolution wording had already been drafted in Vienna, with the U.S. in the lead.
please supply a link to these statements. Thanks
Check out CNS News and look for the article written by Patrick Goodenough
Despite a legal what? Impressive! Ashley knows about the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. All rise!
I know this, he’s NOT a professional politician, and I admire that. We elected the GOP into a majority in November, they have done absolutely nothing differently than the Dems and that bunch. Trump isn’t a team player, he’s a ‘doer’ he’s a guy who ‘gets things done’ He makes the rules, doesn’t and won’t get dictated to by lesser entities. Let’s go Trump!
Let’s go who? Speaking of “lesser entities”, this commenter fits the bill in my opinion.
go go is a behavioral expert except when it comes to his own. No doubt his own “pair” need a lift.
Trump a breath of fresh air? That’s true depending on the type of air go go has in mind. I wouldn’t breath it. Speaking of idiots!

The younger generation needs to learn to work with their hands and create something people need, instead of writing opinionated tripe. America is broke, both financial and morally, until we face those problems everything else is lies.
Really? The “younger generation needs to learn to work with their hands and create something people need”. And what might that be genius?
America is broke? If you say so booby. Have a nice day.
I realize this is intended to be an editorial piece but the degree of sophomoric name calling and broadly generalized assertions make it little more than a written tantrum. Your worst behavior comes in the form of claiming “many Americans aren’t all that bright”. Your use of the word “many” infers a majority so is certainly illuminates your lack of appreciation for your fellow countrymen. If you truly have such a disdain for the populace your serve, why work in a profession that is based, in part, on providing a public service? The answer is simply you just want a paycheck. There are no journalistic qualities in you at all.
What a meandering bunch of tripe! Oh well. Those many Americans who aren’t very bright and like trump are showing up here making their asinine comments. This offering is a perfect example.

Relax! Don’t take it so hard. Take a tylenol and sleep it off. Later boo boo.
From the mouth of Bill Clinton:
“Before I take your questions, I’d like to say just a word about the framework with North Korea that Ambassador Gallucci signed this morning. This is a good deal for the United States,” Clinton said at the press conference.
“North Korea will freeze and then dismantle its nuclear program. South Korea and our other allies will be better protected. The entire world will be safer as we slow the spread of nuclear weapons.
From the mouth of Ronald Reagan.
Nov.13,1986. “We did not repeat did not trade arms for hostages nor will we. The US has not swapped boat loads or plane loads of American weapons for the return of American hostages and we will not”.
March 4, 1987 before the Tower Commission investigating Iran Contra. “A few months ago I told the American people I did not trade arms for hostages. My heart tells me that is true, but the facts and evidence tells me it is not”.
Total arms sold to Iran according to the National Security Archives. Four thousand Tow anti tank missiles. Two thousand Hawk anti aircraft missiles along with spare parts to support the missile systems along with sophisticated radar equipment.
It’s not the Nov. 13, 1986 statement Reagan made that is important. It’s the March 4, 1987 one that is. He admits to having been wrong. Let me do a little research to see if I can find a quote from Clinton, telling Americans that he was wrong about North Korea. If you find one, please post it and tell me what you used as a source.
Clinton made a policy statement that turned out to be wrong. He did not lie and most importantly he did not send military aid to North Korea. If you can find evidence that Clinton lied or actually sent weapons to North Korea, please post it here.
Apparently you approve of Ronnie’s giving American manufactured weapons to terrorists. And of course you no doubt think his military aid to Saddam Hussein was OK since you obviously think Ronny was a hero of some sort.
Reagan knew about Iran Contra and approved the preliminary meetings with the Iranians sending Ollie North and Bud Mc Farland to negotiate a deal, arms for hostages. He then tells the American people we did not sell arms to the terrorists. He lied and got caught.
There was no nobility or honor in his admitting he lied. The Tower Commission exposed him and his administration for violating the law.
Perhaps you should consult with Dr gofastgoo the oracle of ooze. Between the two of you I’m sure we’ll get an amusing response.
Reagan said what he believed to be true when he made the statement, turned out to not be.
Several investigations ensued, including those by the U.S. Congress and the three-person, Reagan-appointed Tower Commission. Neither found any evidence that President Reagan himself knew of the extent of the multiple programs.
Now onto Clinton. I didn’t say he lied, I said he was wrong about the deal made with North Korea being good for the United States. In fact, as of May 20, 2015 (CNN) reported that North Korea’s military claims, “We have had the capability of miniaturizing nuclear warheads, as well as producing multiform weapons, for some time.” They also said, “We can also guarantee the accuracy not only of short-to-mid-range but also long-range rocket launches, for which we have had the technology for a long time,”
Your defense of Ronny is touching. My condolences.
The Tower commission was limited by Reagan. He set a time limit on the Commission to complete it’s work and limited the Commission’s access to resources to make a “systematic inquiry of the events surrounding the activities of the NSC’s involvement in the arms for hostages deal”.
The Tower Commission requested testimony from Oliver North, Admiral Poindexter, Richard Secord and Fawn Hall who helped North shred incriminating documents. They refused. The Commission asked Reagan to order them to testify. The President refused.
The Independent Council appointed by Reagan denied the Commission access to materials relevant to the investigation.
There’s more. Here are a few excerpts from the Tower Commission hearings.
July 13 1985. Chief of Staff Donald Regan testified he and Bud McFarland met with Reagan and discussed the shipment of arms to Iran. Reagan responded “Yes, go ahead. Open it up”.
McFarland testified he discussed the shipment of TOW missiles to Iran in exchange for hostages with Poindexter, North and Secord in attendance with Reagan. The President responded go ahead and he would take “all of the heat for that”.
Secretary of State George Schultz testified that on August 6 1985 he discussed the shipment of TOW missiles proposal in exchange for hostages with the President.
Dec 7 , 1985. Reagan met with Schultz, Secretary of Defense Cap Weinberger, Chief of staff Donald Regan and NSC counsel Bud McFarland to discuss the arms for hostages proposals.
January 6, 1986. Oliver North discussed the direct US shipment of arms to Iran in exchange for hostages with the President in a meeting in the Oval Office. In attendance were Vice President Bush, Weinberger, Schultz, CIA Director William Casey, Donald Regan and NSC member Admiral Poindexter.
And on January 26, 1987 Reagan himself testified he approved a plan whereby Isreal would sell US TOW missiles to Iran in exchange for the release of five US citizens and the US would replenish Isreal’s stockpile of TOW missiles in return.
There’s more but I’ll leave that to your imagination. For you to equate a statement Clinton made about North Korea that turned out to be wrong with Iran Contra is laughable at best.
Reagan may have been excused by the investigatory committees. In the court of public opinion he was guilty as charged. His approval ratings plummeted and the Democrats reclaimed control of the Senate for Reagan’s last two lame duck years in office. Republicans lost the Senate in the mid terms.
Reagan said what he believed to be true alright and it was a big “LIE”. End of story.
So when someone says your guy is wrong, you turn around and point to something their guy did that was wrong?
The ol’ two wrongs make a right argument? You’re a big fat joke. How about improving your own party. It’s a corpo-cesspool right now.
Who are you kidding other than yourself lorenzoo? You do the same thing.
Corpo cesspools? Where did you come up with that one spooky? Take a hike!
Wal Mart and Russia can’t wait for Hillary to win. And you.
Attention Wal Mart shoppers. Boris Yeltsin was just spotted on aisle 3.
Boris cannot stop gawking at all the EBT super-sizers wobbling around.
One has to wonder what an blowhard Quack man like lorenzoo gawks at.
Trump stated on Meet the Press years ago that he is very pro choice, and was very
open minded supporting gay marriage.
Trump paid people $50 each to attend his announcement that he was running for
president, and over stated how many people were at his last function. He said
15,000, when the arena only held 4,200 people.
He’s burning down the republican party with inane, thoughtless and mean spirited
rhetoric just to elevate his name, offering little in the way of policy.
He’s playing the public, and they don’t even realize it.
Wrong. Here is what Trump actually said: The Trump campaign said 15,000 tickets were distributed for the event at the Phoenix Convention Center, where the North Ballroom has a capacity of only 4,200, according to the facility’s website.
Friar Perry is a dedicated socialist. However, he does not realize socialism can only survive as long as there’s other peoples’ money left to spend … ask the Greeks. Ultimately, socialism is shared poverty with the exception of the top elite who find loopholes … read Animal Farm.
Many Americans are tired of listening to scripted lies or double talk to avoid answering a question.

Dave Perry. Yuck. He is a preachy sort of guy posing as an editor. He’s presentin’ his opinions as facts like some know it all. But really, he’s just the editor of the Aurora Sentinel and it isn’t hard to see why.
And what are you doing bright eyes, blowing opinionated tripe?
Yep. Dave Perry. Yuck. His words are stupidity to me.
As are your’s to me. Yuck is right!
Dave? Is that you? Not like anyone else would be reading this crap. Shouldn’t you be preaching your ‘science’ to all those you think might be ‘judging’ you?
I’m flattered. We’ll keep that a secret for now and keep you guessing which is mostly what you do anyhow, Preacher!
Piss off
Oh my goodness! The Preach is pissed. It never fails. Wag a righties tail and sooner or later they pack up their marbles and run home to mommy. Poor little thing.
Not trying to make everyone believe my opinions are gospel. Unlike you Dave.
Gospel is it! I’ll bet. We should be thankful for useful idiots like yourself. zzzzzz
Perry, you must open your horizons. Our government is RUN by this type, only they use taxpayer money to grease the slide. Trump uses his own dough. Hillary types use position and power to garner riches for themselves by giving nods to agreements that enrich those who ‘donate’ to their foundation. You should look at the ‘really big money’ The trillions of dollars our government wastes yearly, then get back to me about a self-made billionaire, Donald Trump.
Don’t entirely blame Dave. When the Rocky went down, the Denver post picked up their negative-progressive writers, posing as athletic reporters. The others pulled out of Sentinel, and left Dave behind, and he had no place to go. So we still have him with his small sheet of advertising. Surprises me that businesses think anyone reads the Sentinel to find where to buy. Can’t remember doing that in past 10-15 years. But if someone could point Dave in new direction, in some other town that deserves him, maybe Detroit please pass the word to him.
