  1. “She overlooks that Aurora is run by a solid majority of conservative and extremist conservative city lawmakers, and it has been for a few years.”

If by “a few,” you mean 3 or less, sure. 2021 wasn’t that long ago, even for those who think society should be unburdened by what has been.

  2. I would think that anyone who paid attention would realize that both political parties have strayed from any real truth or facts long ago. What is humorous is that the Sentinel is getting awards for their reporting when they lead the way in ignoring any facts, no matter how many times the facts are pointed out to them. You can always tell when these people are lying. They act as though nothing was said.

      1. Marked opinion – as he rants about some people ignoring facts while also lying it. That is what the whole website amounts to.

  3. “There has been no credible proof, none, nada, zippo, that TdA gangs had anything to do with running two apartments and maybe more into uninhabitable conditions. “ Our man Dave on the street likes to report as fact. His choice of facts he presents is open for another opinion. And this Nome street apartment melt down is gaining national attention. Perfect timing Dave. Today this same Aurora apartment and gang makes the national news. So Dave, this one is too good for one more of what’s not true in Aurora with a lefty little spin.

FROM THE EDITOR: The reader posted a link to FoxNews, which is not a reliable source of factual information. The Sentinel does not allow for redirection of readers to unvetted sources of information.

    1. Regardless if you feel Fox is a reliable source or not, it is obviously and in fact National news and gains National attention, which is what the poster was saying.

    2. I can’t speak for other readers but I would love to read more about “fake news” Fox and their unvetted reports. Wouldn’t this be the perfect time to discredit Fox and show any viewers to be rubes for watching such drivel.

  4. American conservatives of the Republican/Trumpalo variety constantly paint horrific pictures of life in America’s cities. They are always wrong. Mainly because they never go to big cities to enjoy professional sports (unless it’s a team that is named for a big city but exists in some sterile suburb), they have no idea that people in New York, Chicago and L.A. enjoy the best that urban life has to offer and wouldn’t move on a bet. They avoid live theater, jazz clubs, rock venues and the arts in general.

They live in constant fear of people they don’t know.

    1. LOL, as Jeff Ryan posts from a suburb instead of New York, Chicago, L.A. or even Denver.

Jeff also likes to pretend that urban cesspits have no serious crime whatsoever, and that they are utopias where everyone is happy and has everything they need.

      Tell us another one, Jeffy-poo.

  5. TdA is operating in metro-Denver. Multiple sources acknowledge the Aurora apartment complex was under their control. Denver Police say Denver apartment complexes are not.
From the Denver Police Department X Account:
The Denver Police Department takes the presence of Tren de Aragua seriously, and protecting the safety of our residents and our officers is always our top priority. There are reasons to believe that members of this gang are tied to crimes in the area. However, DPD is not aware of any apartment buildings being “taken over” by this gang in Denver. The Denver Police Department, in coordination with our law enforcement partners, continues actively investigating to learn more about the gang, its members, and any associated criminal activity so we can respond accordingly — just as we do for any gang or criminal organization.

  6. Please notice the arrest of Venezuelan gang member recently in jewelry store robbery. Please notice today the arrest of 11 parties in auto thefts by Douglas County and the immigration status and nationalities of those involved. Not made up stuff to scare people.

  7. How about we pay some attention to the legalized criminal bribery by native-born Americans taking place right now in high government institutions like the US Supreme Court, Senate, and House of Representatives? Instead some of us are playing follow the leader with the guy who says immigrants are “poisoning the blood of the nation.” Such thinking is right out of the playbook of mid-20th century dictators.

  8. Words I get is that some parts of the APD were well aware of the gang existence and how they were extorting the residents long ago. Their bosses choose to ignore all the information. Goes back to that ethical leadership failure that has plagued APD for a long time. Put that with the officer shortages caused by the police reform bill (no one will talk about) and you have a recipe for terror in some parts of the city. Add political motives by everyone, including the Governor, and you can see why you never get the truth.
