Aurora Councilmember Danielle Jurinski on one of multiple Fox News segments focusing on controversy over Venezuelan migrants in Aurora apartments. SENTINEL SCREEN GRAB.

Enough.

Aurora residents have had enough of their community and some of the most vulnerable people among us being made dangerously into pawns for a despicable right-wing political farce.

Some city and regional Republican lawmakers — especially Aurora Councilmember Danielle Jurisnky, Mayor Mike Coffman and congressional hopeful John Frabbricatore — owe Aurora, the state and the nation an apology for purposely generating terror in a foul and blatant grab for political gain.

In my almost 40 years of being a journalist, the nationally televised fabrication that Venezuelan gangsters run amok in Aurora is among the most despicable and dangerous stunts I’ve ever seen.

Aurora interim police Chief Heather Morris, late to the game in this controversy, made it unequivocal late Friday when Aurora released a video of her saying adamantly, “What we’re learning out here is that gang members definitely have not taken over this complex,” Morris said.

A community “overrun” and “taken over” by gangs is the outlandish fabrication that Jurinsky has perpetrated locally and nationally. She’s done it with the aid of propagandists posing as journalists at Fox News, the New York Post and a handful of local TV and print news outlets.

This grisly attempt at terrorizing Aurora residents, in hopes of swaying voters to back anti-immigrant candidates and causes, must stop.

These people have never and could not now care less about the decades-long struggles of some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in the metro area.

Northwest Aurora has since the 1970s struggled with gang crime, street crime, apartment crime, prostitution, drug crime, wage theft, homelessness, dilapidated and run down apartments, incredible transiency and a city government that has looked the other way year after year — after year.

And suddenly, the public is expected to believe that, out of nowhere, there’s a gang problem in dubious apartments run into the ground by, coincidentally, the same landlord, which even Coffman called a “slumlord?”

For those who don’t know, in the 1980s and 1990s, “Alton-Beeler” streets, between Colfax and East 16th avenues, were synonymous with drive-by gang shootings. The problem was so bad that Aurora put up barricades in the area in the hopes that if gang members could no longer “drive by” or through, they wouldn’t slow down to shoot up the area.

From Monaco Parkway in Denver to Chambers Road in Aurora, along the East Colfax Corridor, neighborhoods have been saturated with anti-gang and anti-youth violence programs that have had some success and plenty of failure over the years at stemming gang and youth violence. Despite the ebb and flow of gangs, or what purport to be gangs, northwest Aurora has been — generally — a safe community where poor people struggle with problems unique to poor people.

There’s no doubt that gang and youth violence is a horrific societal ill, but it’s hardly new, and it has not now nor ever paralyzed the community.

Jurinsky’s foul and foolish fever-dream doesn’t even pass the common-sense test, let alone the evidence test.

One of the first cockamamie stories she retells came from the discredited landlord that owns these buildings. Apartment landlord officials told the Sentinel and others that roving Venezuelan immigrant gangsters were “collecting”rent from apartment tenants and then not giving it to the landlord. Supposedly, that’s why he couldn’t pay the apartment complex water bill or have the trash removed.

Huh.

Tell me the apartment complex where anyone collects cash rent at the door. By Coffman’s own admission — and his lament — most, if not all, of the Venezuelan immigrants in these apartments have been “placed there” by Denver aid agencies, and they pay the rent directly to the landlord, just like everybody else does.

Even Chief Morris said Friday the story was bogus, and they couldn’t find a single resident who told that ludicrous yarn.

It absolutely doesn’t mean there aren’t serious problems in some of these apartments. And it doesn’t mean that police and the city don’t lack the resources to help solve and prevent problems associated with some of these apartment complexes, primarily ensuring that landlords keep them up to code and enforce apartment-community rules and regulations.

But many of these apartment complexes have been hot-spots of theft, assault and even homicide for years, even decades, and neither Jurinsky nor Coffman have fled to national TV shows to lament these issues before.

The real crisis now is that they have been permitted to say outright or wrongly suggest that they speak for the city council or the city of Aurora.

They do not. Aurora and the nation needs to be set straight that, off the council dais where they represent only themselves, they do not speak for the City of Aurora.

The sole duty and power of the mayor of Aurora is to run the city council meetings. Coffman does not run nor administer the city. In most cases, he cannot even vote during city council meetings.

The city manager runs the city, following policy dictated by the city council as a whole.

Immediately when Jurinsky began her hysterical, anti-immigrant rants, hoisted into the public’s awareness by unprofessional and unethical local and national media — which have repeatedly refused to fact check her inflammatory claims — Aurora police and city management should have reacted.

Police and managers offered tepid and sometimes confusing emailed statements to the media. They should have held press conferences to rebut the lurid and politicized lies and hyperbole to prevent Jurinsky and other Republican extremists from creating and controlling the narrative of this critical problem.

These odious forces are able to manipulate the narrative based on a video depicting five young males walking up apartment stairs carrying handguns and one long-gun.

To date, police have not said if they have examined the authenticity of the video, nor if they have investigated who these people are and what they were doing.

The video is unnerving. But it’s no more unnerving than similar videos taken from inside area stores and other public and private places in the region — for years.

If Jurinsky and Coffman are so concerned about the residents in these apartments, insist that Aurora or state police station round-the-clock patrols in and around these units.

Insist that the city, which famously once inspected every apartment building and unit in the city, ensures that happens, and that these inspections are posted on the city’s website for regular public perusal.

Instead, they point to national immigration policy problems as the reason why this city council, and just about every city council before them, has been unable to control shootings and address poverty not just in these neighborhoods, but across the city.

Don’t buy it, Aurora. It’s a demented and dangerous deception that is only meant to invoke fear and turn voters toward a failed political clan of liars, cheaters and election deniers practically driven from the entire state.

Police and city officials need to stop issuing tardy press statements and start getting in front of national and local news cameras to offer the public the truth about this problem that Jurinsky and Coffman have turned into a crisis. That truth needs to be backed by evidence, transparency and the ability for real journalists to ask questions and check facts.

Aurora is begging for the adults in the room to drag qualified and honest city sources in front of the cameras to set the record straight.

Everything else so far is fear-mongering quackery without morals or conscience in an attempt to influence an election, not public safety.

  1. Any time we can make Mr. Perry and his ilk at the Aurora Sentinel squirm, we know we are on the right track. Mr. Perry has used his mouthpiece with the Aurora Sentinel to write highly slanted and biased articles for political gain in Aurora for seemingly his entire career. Now that the tables are temporarily turned, he has suddenly gained and endorsed professionalism and ethics when it comes to journalism. Well, we are just beginning to become aware of the degree of criminal acts committed by unvetted illegal immigrants in this country including assaults, murders, smash and grab burglaries, auto thefts, robberies and other crimes. The media has been careful not to mention immigration status when reporting these crimes to avoid accountability. But it is my hope that the Biden-Harris administration will soon be held accountable for the calamity they have created with their policy of wide-open borders for the last 3 ½ years. Our social welfare system is about to collapse and the numbers of homeless explode. Remember this in a little over 2 months.

    1. Why I am curiously surprised by your article? I hope this reply finds you well. I can agree the media of the right wing ran with this story, because it ran hard. However, these illegals terrorizing the city… is just an added and unnecessary issue that can be easily solved. Furthermore, the issue of these gangs terrorizing, yes that is what they are doing, could have all been prevented. By simply securing our border, resources could be strictly used in combating the gangs in the area already there. Now though, more resources to combat the problem, as well as to house and feed these illegals, are being diverted in the aid of these illegals.
      It’s that simple

    2. Or maybe he’s right. I live in the exact zip code of this supposed criminal activity and have not heard one darn thing. Where, exactly, are you getting YOUR info??? And any of the mentioned media sources are hardly credible.

    1. the mayor is a trump supporter who tried to kill the ACA in 2017 with trump, irregardless that his home in Aurora had a large percentage of residents getting healthcare from the ACA, and neither coffman nor trump had an alternative nor are ever capable of creating one. coffman is a consummate fear mongerer, dishonest, and will push this to create fear before the election, and to be at the center of the news cycle and make it more national about him.

  2. “In my almost 40 years of being a journalist…”

😆 🤣 😂 You are not a “journalist!” You are a leftist who spews propaganda that is usually filled with lies & half truths. You never, ever collect & present information from all perspectives that an actual journalist would endeavor to do. Journalists seek truth & let the chips fall where they may. In this piece, you seem to ignore the idea that there is a problem here. Yes, the story is being hyped for political purposes (something you do often), but that doesn’t mean there aren’t serious issues. The idea that you are claiming to be a journalist is actually quite insane. Stop making false claims about who you really are Perry.

    1. True – there is a difference between journalism and political activism. Sadly, it is my understanding that Schools of Journalism, in indoctrination centers known as Universities, are now teaching students that political activism is a required and necessary part of journalism. The days of professional journalists like Walter Cronkite are over.

    2. I should correct myself – it is apparent that Mr. Perry is a very intelligent and articulate man and has a right to voice his opinions. My biggest beef with the Aurora Sentinel is that there are no columns offered with a “right of center” or more conservative orientation. To their credit, they do allow criticism in their commentary, but it is not equivalent. They quickly bury articles after entry and they are rarely read. To hire someone with a right of center bias would lend much more credibility to the Sentinel.

    3. I’d suggest you reread the article. The reported specifically said, “ It absolutely doesn’t mean there aren’t serious problems in some of these apartments. And it doesn’t mean that police and the city don’t lack the resources to help solve and prevent problems associated with some of these apartment complexes, primarily ensuring that landlords keep them up to code and enforce apartment-community rules and regulations.”

Posting statements, as you did above, reflects a poor level of reading and comprehension.

    1. Go down there and speak to the residents themselves. They will tell you the same thing. There is no gang takeover.

  3. Looks like it’s time for law-enforcement to start giving us the raw data. I think Aurora, Denver, and other police departments in the metro area should consider posting criminal contacts where Venezuelan gangs were confirmed to have been involved. Not just the fantastic cases like a bunch of individuals strolling through an apartment complex with guns, but more common criminal activity like stolen cars, burglaries, assaults because those should all factor into whether or not a robust response to Venezuelans’s gangs in Colorado needs to happen. If it’s made public, then this stops Being a political or media issue and becomes a Bona fide public safety concern that nobody can argue. They also need to consider reaching out to Venezuelan citizens that have nothing to do with TDA and create ways for them to assist law-enforcement because they are being victimized at a much higher rate than anyone else.

  4. A convenience store guard shoots someone at a Colfax and Peoria St. ….that’s Aurora. The story is being reported by all of the Denver news sources but guess what? No mention of it in fake/no news Aurora Sentinel. I have brought up many times Sentinel’s lack of actual news in Aurora to the so-called “journalist” Dave Perry. But again, he is so busy trying to bend other news reports to match his own political bias that real Aurora news gets missed. This so Dave can conjure up more adjectives to describe people trying to deal with another REAL news story that Dave doesn’t like. Journalist….really? Dave now that you have this news tip on a story that happened Saturday night; it is now 12 noon, Sunday, Sept. 1, let’s see how long it takes a political hack to turn into a real journalist. Clock is ticking……

    1. The Sentinel’s priorities are CLEARLY not reporting news, but changing the news into something that aligns with Dave Perry’s ideology. Journalistic integrity is the LAST thing the Sentinel concerns itself with and I use its handling of the gang takeover of an apartment building and lackluster reporting of a killing at a Colfax convenience store as recent examples.

  5. Dave Perry- THANK YOU for using your bullhorn to expose these political hacks like Jurinsky.

Remember we were told by her early in this mess that she “will not prove anything I say and I can’t be questioned about the facts”.

You are 100% right that the Slumlord has gotten off easy, largely due to the smokescreen Jurinsky created for them.

Who has the Slumlord contributed $$ to? Inquiring minds want to know.

Please continue to let The Sentinel fairly and truthfully report on these shenanigans.

  6. Look at the comments. Liberal idiots are so out of touch with reality. First off, who the hell is against immigration? Name one person in this nation who say they want zero legal immigrants in this nation. Name one!!! You damn liberal idiots are so stupid!!! Nobody is anti immigration. We are anti ILLEGAL immigration!!!!!!! We don’t want criminals brought into this nation…we already have enough of our own. But to this piece of trash city council dumbass…how many illegal criminals are you inviting to live with you? Piece of trash!!!

      1. Thanks, Mr. Perry. The reckless abandon with which Ms. Jurinski shoots off her mouth makes her the Western Margory Taylor Greene. She and the rest of the MAGA members of the Council need to go!

  7. “Especially Aurora Councilmember Danielle Jurisnky… owe Aurora, the state and the nation an apology for purposely generating terror in a foul and blatant grab for political gain.” “purposely generating” ooh-ee Dave, on top of it so you say?
In the meantime August 30, KDVR reports- “The people seen on video carrying guns and entering apartments at an Aurora complex are members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, Department of Homeland Security sources confirmed to NewsNation”.

I guess the DHS secretary should trot out and be so sorry as his agency committed Federal resources in their own investigation and now complicit with Jurisnky and crew. They confirmed this gang is TdR, and the guns are real ones. Real bullets too, did you see a few bullet holes in the cars around there Dave? That’s no big deal is it, cause it’s “isolated”. Funny how they’re all isolated.

Later APD shows up, spends a couple hours out there asking a few questions. And it’s… wrap it boys, case closed. Dave points the finger at CM Jurinsky, for cooking up this scheme as some clever political deception, to gain points. Dave, that’s quite an elaborate feat to pull off. But maybe you’re right.

What’s unprecedented here is this chaos in all these buildings lay in the same political ward. Ward one, and not one peep from CM Crystal Murillo. This is her political home bunker, and no reporter bothers to get her thoughts, her concept on this fiasco going viral. This city Ward and this bizarre story have created more TV, media and radio coverage than anything in many years. So, it seems odd, as normally we see these city council willing to make statements where/what the city has in mind for their particular assignment. Yet this whole episode is odd and changing weekly.

  8. People come over the border because:
    1. I and other consumers don’t want to give up their slave labor.
    2. Those that employ slave labor don’t want to give up their slave labor.
I don’t care if my slave labor is from is from Venezuela or Vermont. I don’t care if they are brown, white, green or purple. I simply don’t want to clean toilets or pick up garbage and I don’t want to pay a lot to people that do.
Some of the folks that come over the border may be criminals, but most aren’t and they will be willing to clean my toilets and pick up my garbage.
Many of the companies that employ these people (slaves) will continue to do so, since they have both the money and power to continue.
I am assuming that those that complain about this situation have neither money or power and are being fed a line of BS from those on the left, right and middle of the political spectrum in an effort to harvest votes.
Any idea that this will change in any meaningful way is a fantasy.
As a final note, if you are afraid of criminals, I suggest that you kill as many that you possibly can if they threaten you or your property. If they are a threat to anyone in the ghetto that is some of the parts of the city of Aurora, then that is their problem and not mine and any idea that anyone else is concerned is, of course, ridiculous.

  9. It’s been a long time (probably decades) since I read a Dave Perry editorial – for which I am thankful. He is still plying his unabashedly leftist trade, tone deaf to the sentiments and values of the readership. I am surprised the little useful idiot is still editor of the Sentinel. Must be a really dumb publisher.

    1. Ouch! Dave Perry touched the collective MAGA molar nerve with this one. You know he’s found the vein when the collective response is mostly ad hominem attacks. MAGA friends, stand down.
This isn’t a liberal vs conservative issue. Even Councilman Gardner is asking other conservatives on the Council to tone down the rhetoric.

      1. Ah, the invocation of the ol’ unity-criticism-unity tactic when your side’s dialectic is falling apart.

  10. The rhetorical smokescreens coming out of this op-ed are nuclear-grade–the hand-waving of a left-wing political hack trying to deflect from current violence and crime in northwest Aurora by invoking past violence and crime in northwest Aurora, then disingenuously and priggishly stating that the city should post round-the-clock police patrols around the area. Patrols that his side, for YEARS, argued shouldn’t even be there in the first place. And then, of course, there’s the “we’re not saying there aren’t problems that need to be addressed,” all while knowing that anything which actually would fix the problem will be lawfared and resisted into oblivion by the “activists” and other NGO traffickers in human dysfunction.

“Police and managers offered tepid and sometimes confusing emailed statements to the media. They should have held press conferences to rebut the lurid and politicized lies and hyperbole to prevent Jurinsky and other Republican extremists from creating and controlling the narrative of this critical problem.”

Gosh, maybe the city should just hire the Sentinel staff to act as Aurora’s PR firm, and issue milquetoast, half-baked press releases over anything that might damage the image of the march of society towards the New Soviet Man, er, Municipality. Or, maybe question why they’re being so evasive on this stuff in the first place and start digging into that, rather than lament the hit the city might be taking to its public image in a lather over the consequences of the left’s Open Society/open borders fetish, and lack of understanding of the limits of scale.

  11. So the minions of Dave Perry working as ‘journalists’ and so-called ‘journalist’ Dave are working overtime to politicize a serious situation. Yes, look the other way, while Venezuelan gangs take over an apartment building because you a) don’t want to appear racist, or anti illegal immigration no matter how horrific it becomes or b) want to side with people concerned about public safety in YOUR city. Meanwhile, Sentinel staff was last to report on a killing at a 7-Eleven on East Colfax, leaving the ‘real journalists’ in Denver to cover Aurora news!

  12. Anyone reading this- the editor is a complete liar. The situation is far worse than just those multiple apartment complexes. The issues are far more extensive.

If you’re unlucky while visiting the Super Walmart, you’ll possibly be involved in actual trafficking. This has been going on OPENLY for over a year, and it’s not restricted to TdA.

That is just ONE example. This site is complicit with the victimization of both citizen and alien- in terms of violence, drug / human / sec trafficking, and of course, extensive and increasing gang activity. Go ahead and target the only people actually standing up to those threats in order to further your illegal agenda.

  13. Perry ,show you are right by going to live in one of those apartments yourself, they have shown proof so now you show proof otherwise

  14. I would like to get more information. The individuals in the picture, are they US Citizens exercising second amendment right?
If not US Citizens, who gave them the weapons?

  15. The time has come to remove Coffman and Jurinsky from their posts. The city of Aurora no longer has any confidence in these two propagandists in city hall. To manipulate a problem and shame our city nation wide is not forgivable. The citizens of Aurora deserve to live in a city free of false stories coming from a Republican mayor that puts fear into its citizens and neighborhoods. Sad to see some in Aurora attacking the messenger when we have Coffman and Jurinsky who’ve violated our trust.

  16. Look at all the trolls on here. Can I say hello to all these Brain-dead fascists on here before I say that there fearless leaders must be out of national lies, and have to start some local B.S.? Venesualan Gangs. What happened to the Chineze gangs? Did tgey get run off? How about those Irish gangs? Haven’t much about them lately. Maybe Jurinsky might have an idea. How about that Italian gang, whats there names, I’ll bet Coffman personally knows where they went.and who is Frabricore? He’s got the perfect name to be in the newest gang in town. Whats there names? I call them Repubic trump trash but, maybe this new guy with the funny name can come up with a better one. In the meantime I don’t believe anything that these idiots say

    1. Yes, to marxists, anyone who resists their dumb political theology is a fascist.

Glad you agree this political polarization needs to continue escalating.

    2. Agreed. coffman just wants national attention as he considers trying to get back in national politics, and wants to look like the hero who cleaned up the gangs…which are not there. The police have made numerous visits and asserted that there are no gangs involved whether Venezuelan or not. coffman has long history of dishonesty and uncaring about Aurorans or any constituency. I remember being at the Aurora library in 2017 waiting hours in the cold to talk to him at his townhall about him trying to take away my health insurance and that of millions of people and many thousands of Auroran’s health insurance – when he snuck out the back rather than talk to us – a group of older adults, some in wheelchairs and with walker – he didn’t even tell us he was leaving. He had no answers, and we had a lot more people than he expected, so he turned tail and ran away.

  17. There is no reason to believe that Dave Perry will ever take an objective stand that actually will give facts that may help protect our community. With his constant rant against any type of real accountability and his blatant distortion of police facts, he helps to condemn those that he claims to help. The distortions that have helped destroy police effectiveness through the police reform bill to the consent decree have made it difficult for the police to have the manpower to police the most problem plagued parts of the city.

I realize that Perry will not acknowledge anything that points to the fact that illegal immigrants are often a problem. I said illegal, not legal immigrants. When you come into the country illegally, you don’t want contact with the police. You don’t want anything to happen that might result in your deportation. You are subject to extortion by gangs who simply threaten you and your family, both here and back in your native country. If you are a criminal, you know that the police don’t know anything about you or your history. There was a very good investigative piece on TV by journalists who got inside gangs in several large US cities. The gang members, black, white motorcycle, asian, and hispanic (approximately 23,000 of them) said that they got their orders and their drugs from two Mexican cartels. They also said that they would not anger the cartels because the cartels would kill them and their families. They also said that the cartels could operate because there were 400,000 illegal immigrants in Houston and the gangs could hide in their apartments any time. The standard procedure was to simply threaten them or their families back in Mexico, or Central and South America.

Now, let me talk about what I know personally. Since I raided gangs as a member of SWAT, I got to see how they terrorized the areas in which they lived and operated. We were thanked a number of times by black mothers who could not let their children go outside because of the gunfire. Later, I worked in the gang unit and found that the gang unit did not know of gang activity until patrol stumbled upon it as part of some call. During my entire time at APD, I saw many cases where illegal immigrants committed crimes like murder or vehicular homicide and scooted back across the border. I also saw many cases of fraud committed at our hospitals and elsewhere as a way to make a living. Across the country, individual police departments are seeing many crimes committed by illegals that go unreported in the news. Individual officers are saying to themselves “If the public only knew”. They are forbidden from speaking out. Their bosses simply tell you what is good for their own careers and the image of the city. There were so many times that I had to listen to our chiefs lie that I wanted to scream. It didn’t hurt me but the failure to actually deal with problems hurt countless people in neighborhoods. It hurt to watch them suffer and know that I had to keep my mouth shut while chiefs and people like Dave Perry bloviated.

I am told that officers knew many months ago about the Venezuelan Gang and how they were extorting the residents. They told their superiors who chose to ignore it. Now, of course, they give you the watered down version to protect the reputation of the Department (their reputation). When radical groups and Dave Perry talk about transparency, they don’t really mean it. Real transparency would mean that officers could tell you what is really going on. That would be an embarrassment to the Department, the City, and Dave Perry. Of course, Dave Perry would simply call it a political stunt.
I found the statements by Governor Polis and his press person to be despicable. I am not a Republican nor a Democrat. I have voted both ways. But the tendency of both parties to twist facts to their advantage while ignoring the best interests of the people is beyond the pale. The failure of the Democrats to deal with any type of reality when it comes to crime and immigration is deadly for our country. The Europeans have been warning us for years. Look at what is happening there. Pay attention. This sticking your head in the sand and pretending to be noble won’t help us as the situation gets worse. Those who will feel it first are those in the neighborhoods that noble Dave Perry seems to think he is helping. The media have become so political that we cannot get honest investigative journalism. If the Sentinel was really a bastion of honesty and investigative journalism, they would be asking why we lost thousands of good police officers. What did they know that the media will not talk about? The public has no idea what the police reform bill actually says and how that affects police work and police officers. Even police chiefs can’t tell you what the bill means. With the public at risk from the loss of enforcement, any credible journalist would have wanted an answer. So, there in my rant, Dave.

  18. Thank you Dave! It’s refreshing to see that some Democrat policies haven’t gone out of favor, “Never Let a Crisis go to Waste”. Opening up the borders, failing to enforce immigration laws on the books, allowing millions to bypass the ports of entry where they would be vetted, defunding the police, and allowing Soros to purchase our elected officials probably didn’t play any part. You’re right. Nothing to see here, move along, move along. The only question that came to mind for me was “I wonder how far Dave lives from gang members” and maybe now he’s wondering the same thing.

  19. There is a right way and a wrong way (legal/illegal) for immigrants to come into this country. It has and is becoming increasingly more evident that The Wrong Way is detrimental and NOT WORKING! No amount of slanted, political bloviating will make this situation OK! All I want to know is who in the video has been arrested?

  20. Is it true or not true illegal people are committing Crimes in the Towns and Cities of Aurora?
Is it true or not true the democratic party is down playing the Crimes committed against the people of Aurora?
Is it true or not true the democratic governor and mayor and taking an active legal approach to protect and prosecute for the safety of the American Citizen of Aurora?

  21. Just called my daughter in Denver (who’s a registered Democrat) to see what’s going on. She said this takeover is true, not false propaganda as this article claims.

    1. I live here and it is false, and the police after many visits (because right-wingers want to fear monger before the election and like getting national attention) have confirmed it.

  22. The bottom line is that the Left MUST impugn this story because it hurts their wholesome migrant narrative. For the Left, this can’t be true because there is no way any illegal immigrant could ever do harm. The Left will never admit to any contradiction of their talking points. Gaslighting eventually leads to an explosion.

  23. So it’s not really about guns, Venezuelan gangs, illegal immigrants, slave labor, homelessness, or slum lords to name a few, it’s about politics. It’s so simple now, thanks Dave.

  24. First, thank you Dave. Second, Jason Crow is the finest US Representative I have ever had in 71 years, and he will win again because he is superlative. coffman hates that he lost to Rep. Crow, but coffman can’t hold a candle to Rep. Crow, and any GOP candidate endorsed by coffman cannot either.

  25. Hey Debra, we got it years ago that your social working mentality doesn’t agree with Mayor Coffman’s political side. Almost every comment you make is about your hatred for the Mayor no matter what the actual subject might be. We commenters understand your thought that never go much beyond that hatred.

If Rep. Crow is the best you have ever had in your adult life, that, too, says a lot about how you judge politics. Please, come up with something original in your future posts.

  26. It’s a shame there are so many ignorant people in Colorado, particularly in the Denver area. There are no Venezuelans taking over Aurora. Aurora has been known since at least the 70s as a crime area. Gangs are nothing new, the Crips and Bloods are simply homegrown. Further the TdA isn’t in Aurora. The video doesn’t show their members. And FYI the Haitians in Springfield were admitted in 2017 for temporary protection…under Trump. He’s using the issue for votes. From ignorant suckers who follow his racist cult.

    1. LOL, thanks for proving my point, Carol–your side will continue to bring up past gang activity to try and deflect from current gang activity. Your assertion that TdA isn’t in Aurora is a lie, as there have been gang members for that group arrested. This is why nothing your side states needs to be taken at face value, and anything your side proposes needs to be rejected out of hand.
