EDITOR: The United States is in for some big changes and each vote in the Colorado U.S. Senate race carries a weight and importance not seen in a long time. What’s at stake is maintaining Democratic freedoms, liberty, protection of the Constitution, and rule of law for all Americans. Our quality of life and the safeguards put into place to protect it are currently being dismantled piece by piece to serve the ongoing, callous greed exhibited by narrow corporate interests.
These times call for a Senator who listens to the needs of the people and understands the importance of maintaining the quality of life for all Americans. We need a Senator who values maintaining clean air and water, limiting exposure to toxic chemicals, and supports health care for all (covering pre-existing conditions). Who represents the people not the corporations. Who fights for equality for all regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, handicap, or immigration status. We need a Senator to champion small business and fight for fair wages, benefits, and employment practices for all.
Fortunately, we have an outstanding Senatorial candidate who embodies these qualities and whose actions and legislative legacy in the Colorado House and Senate speak volumes about his commitment to serve the needs of the people. Andrew Romanoff is this candidate and he is the right man, running for the right office, at the right time and he has my support for the U.S. Senate.
