Hello, Editor Dave Perry, I am writing regarding your “Open Letter To Trump-Aurora Embraces Diversity, so there is nothing for you here.”
Yes, we do embrace diversity, but we do not embrace illegal gangs committing crimes in our community!
I have friends that live five minutes from the area, and it is far worse than the media and politicians are telling us. I understand you all don’t want Aurora having a bad reputation but I have news for you, it has always had a bad reputation, as far back as the 1980s. We weren’t allowed at the Aurora Mall back then. We paid extra to buy homes in Centennial and Denver to avoid an Aurora address.
I only could stand to read a few paragraphs of your anti-Trump rhetoric before being so mad I trashed the entire paper. Here is a man willing to help clean up Aurora’s problem and reputation, and you shot it down. I have news for you, both Republicans and Democrats are very unhappy with all the illegals flooding into our country, draining our resources and committing crimes! This single issue is why I left the Democrat party in 2016. Now there are even more reasons.
Also, You say the Haitian illegals eating animals have been “debunked.” That’s bulls***. Just because the mainstream media isn’t saying anything doesn’t mean it’s not true, especially when the MSM are owned by Dems and are clearly biased.
The podcasts, news and talk shows I listen to tell a much different story. Citizens of Springfield have called in and have witnessed this. There are videos people have sent in. Also, are you aware of ICE’s report that the mainstream media is keeping silent on? 420,000 illegal criminals were released into our country under Kamala Harris, who was in charge of the border by Biden (regardless how in denial the media pretends to be). There are 15,000 sexual offenders, 14,000 murderers – all released and people like you and the other MSM are not reporting on it – and yet you call yourselves “journalists” – no, you are just pure propaganda.
When you write trash like you did, perhaps it’s time to “reimagine” a new career. Also, many of us were looking forward to Trump’s arrival, and you ruined it, and have now chosen to keep Aurora overrun with gangs and its sh** reputation – good job.

EDITOR’S NOTE: As of Oct. 2, 2024, there have been no credible reports of Haitian refugees nor anyone in Springfield, Ohio eating dogs, cats or other pets. Republican and Democratic officials alike across the state have rebuked the claims and repeatedly asked Trump and Ohio Sen. JD Vance to stop making the debunked claims.

Also, the ICE report the writer refers to was a letter from ICE sent to Texas GOP House Rep. Tony Gonzales. Gonzales released the letter last week to the public. The Associated Press and other credible news sources say Trump and others have mischaracterized the letter, erroneously stating that the immigrants suspected or convicted of crimes are all free and admitted by the Biden Administration. ICE officials say that out of many millions of immigrants, numbers in the letter reflect migrants who came to the United States over decades, during the Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump and Biden administrations. It’s unknown how many of the suspected or convicted criminals cited in letter are still alive, in the nation, or how accurate the numbers are. The data was being misinterpreted, Homeland Security said in a statement Sunday. The Sentinel ran that story. “The data goes back decades; it includes individuals who entered the country over the past 40 years or more, the vast majority of whose custody determination was made long before this Administration,” the agency said. “It also includes many who are under the jurisdiction or currently incarcerated by federal, state or local law enforcement partners.”

Trump should stay away. He has already hurt Aurora and our residents enough with his lies and insults. The apartment buildings in Aurora involved, where there is owner neglect, have been taken over by the banks that financed those buildings, and will be working on them. If trump comes, PLEASE AURORA, GET PAID UP FRONT FOR THE EXORBITANT COSTS TRUMP WILL ACCRUE — THOUGH HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COSTS, HE WILL NEVER PAY. Trump never pays for these visits/rallies, and we do not deserve to get stuck paying for a visitor WE DO NOT WANT. Luckily I have a work event in NE Colorado and will be able to miss it all. Maybe trump will cancel out like he did with a debate, 60 Minutes, and any other event that fact checks. In fact, let’s tell him Aurora fact checks, and trump is sure to cancel!
Could it be Kane that the only reason that the Sentinel Blog printed a basically anonymous letter that doesn’t represent the Sentinel’s given stances is so they could make their own opinions in printed rebuttal?

how is stating facts in the rebuttal making an opinion? it’s stating facts. opinion has nothing to do with it. or is it the mere fact that they put in a rebuttal that makes you consider it an opinion?

I find it hard to believe this is even a real letter. It’s like someone is pretending to be an extreme caricature of extreme right-wingers forever lost to the echo chamber, living in a world that doesn’t exist because they let talking heads create reality for them, forevermore tilting at windmills, ready to fall for anything they’re told. I find it hard to believe anybody could actually be this loony. And if I’m wrong and this is a real letter, god help you lady. You need it.

This has to be the funniest claim in the whole letter, which is chock full of them. Now, is Trump going to do that before or after he “builds the wall”? Or is he waiting for Mexico to “pay for it” as he promised.
For a good laugh, hunt down the recorded conversation Trump had with the president of Mexico after he won the presidency the first time. Trump literally said to the Mexican president that Mexico wouldn’t really have to pay. Just so long as Mexico said it would pay. Because, otherwise, Trump would look foolish.
Oh yeah, he’ll really fix our city’s problems!
