I recently saw an endorsement by the Aurora Sentinel for Dan Jorgensen for the Aurora School Board. I wanted to write about another great candidate for the Aurora School Board: Cathy Wildman.
Cathy has been serving on the board alongside Dan for the past four years. Cathy is a tireless supporter of Aurora students. Every week, you can see her working with students as a volunteer in Aurora schools.
It is no surprise that she visits the schools around Aurora, talking with teachers, parents, and of course students in support of her work on the board. She believes in the promoting excellence for all students, seeking out and promoting programs that will increase student achievement in Aurora’s most challenging schools.
She is a retired teacher who didn’t let retirement slow down her support for students. From mentoring individual students to working with other Aurora businesses, Cathy is involved in the community to encourage ways to improve not only the academic life of Aurora students but services that support some of Aurora’s neediest families.
There is no greater supporter of Aurora students and families than Cathy Wildman. We owe it to our students and citizens to have Cathy Wildman serve on the Aurora School Board for another term.
