Diana Sue Gibbens, 68, died Friday, August 21, 2015 in Aurora, Colorado.
Diana was born March 28, 1947 to Gale and Opal (Scott) Mitchem in McCook, Nebraska. She was raised in Loveland, CO where she married Stephen Gibbens on October 6, 1969 at First Christian Church. In 1979, she moved to Yuma, Arizona and attended Arizona Western College, receiving her Associate Degree in Business. She worked for the US Government as an Accountant, retiring after 26 years in October, 2008. She moved to Aurora in 1996. She enjoyed art, silversmith work, and the Messianic Faith.
Diana is survived by three children, William (Sherry) Gibbens and Kimberly Gibbens of Phoenix, AZ, Gale (Sara) Gibbens of Aurora, CO, two grandchildren, Kathleen and Logan Gibbens of Aurora, CO and two brothers, Richard (Linda) Mitchem of Wellton, AZ and Gary Mitchem of Stephenville, TX. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Shirley Harvey, stepmother, Leola Mitchem, and son, Jimmy John Mitchem.
Burial will be in Yuma, Arizona.
