Allegra Mae Voss, of Ann Arbor, Mich., born on June 16, 1926, passed away June 12, 2015, at the age of 89 after a very long battle with both lung and breast cancer. Allegra survived her husband, James, who passed away just a few weeks ago after his long battle with brain cancer. Allegra leaves behind her sons, Kenneth and Michael; and her grandchildren, Christopher of Houston, Texas, and Sarah, of Colorado Springs, as well as her four great-grandchildren, ages 4, 6 and 8.
Allegra’s wishes were much in line with that of her husband, in that there was to be no funeral or viewing and that she be cremated, her ashes mixed with her husband’s and that her family all scatter their ashes in the Pacific Ocean together. This will be done in private by the family.
There will be a reception for the family and loved ones of Allegra to celebrate her life at 5 p.m. June 27 at her son Michael’s house; this gathering is a potluck.
