AURORA | Police are investigating the slaying of a woman found Monday afternoon, May 16, in a northwest Aurora apartment.
Officers found the woman, whose name has not been released, around 2:40 p.m. Monday when they responded to a home at 1429 Macon St. on a report of a “down party.”
Police said when they arrived they found the woman with a head injury and rushed her to an area hospital, where she died.
No information on the woman’s cause of death or potential suspects has been released.

The woman’s death is the third homicide in Aurora since Sunday, coming after a woman was found stabbed in a Burlington Coat Factory parking lot Sunday night and a man found dead Monday in an apartment near East Alameda Avenue and South Peoria Street.
