CENTENNIAL | Attorneys in the Colorado theater shooting case are heading to court to discuss what photo and video evidence can be shown at trial.
A hearing Tuesday will also address audio recordings and the storage of evidence that may be used during the trial of James Holmes. Holmes has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to charges of killing 12 people and injuring 70 in the July 20, 2012, attack at a Denver-area movie theater.
Jury selection is expected to start in January.
Defense attorneys have asked a judge to bar photos that may be inflammatory, such as those showing dead or wounded victims. They say such photos would traumatize jurors and bias them against Holmes.
Prosecutors say those images are the best evidence of the crime.

They are going to keep dragging this out forever.
All evidence should be admitted to the jury however big, small, etc. Why shouldn’t the jury hear and/or see all available evidence for or against Holmes? Why is some evidence in and some out? How can it be a fair trial if all evidence is not presented? Why all the delay? The evidence is there and the defense and prosecution have had over two years to review it and prepare it’s cases. At this rate Holmes will have served a life sentence before he goes to trial!!! ENOUGH DELAY IS ENOUGH!! LETS GET ON WITH THE TRIAL!!!
