A few updates from a busy few days on Aurora’s crime beat:

First, on the two separate killings in Aurora over the weekend — one outside Du Rozz bar, another at East Alameda Avenue and South Ironton Street — police said this afternoon names are still not being released.

The identity of the man killed on Ironton could be released this week, a police spokeswoman said today, but police are still trying to contact next of kin for the man killed near Du Rozz.

As for Conner Donohue, the 20-year-old accused of hitting an Englewood police officer who later died of his injuries, he remains in jail awaiting a court hearing Friday. A spokeswoman for the Arapahoe County DA’s office said today that a decision on what additional charges Donohue could face will be announced at that hearing.

Also, Ronald Weese, the man arrested last week on felony explosives charges, has bonded out of Arapahoe County Jail and is due in court Friday.

And all of this is happening while the Anthony Gillespie trial is going on in Arapahoe County. Closing arguments in that trial could be delivered next week.
