AURORA | Two people are expected to survive injuries they received after being stabbed early Tuesday morning at 669 S. Oswego St. by a man currently being held by police, Aurora police said.
Based on the early investigation, police said they believe a man had an altercation with two of his room mates April 15 and stabbed the the two men.
When officers arrived at the home near South Peoria Street and East Exposition Avenue, police said the suspect still had a knife. When the man refused commands to drop the knife, police said an officer used a stun gun on him.
“The Taser had no effect. It appears the suspect was under the influence of an unknown intoxicant and was eventually taken into custody by officers,” Aurora police spokesman Sgt. Chris Amsler said in an email.
The suspect’s name will be released once he is booked into jail, police said.
