AURORA | Two people were wounded in an early morning shooting Thursday, May 26, in north Aurora, police said.
Police said an officer heard gunshots and screaming around 1:15 a.m. near East 16th Avenue and Dayton Street. Officers then found a man and woman who had been shot while walking on East 17th Avenue and Chester Street.
The two victims were rushed to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said a witness told them the suspect could be a black male wearing a black shirt and shorts. Tipsters to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and are eligible for a $2,000 reward.
