AURORA | Two unidentified men were shot, one fatally, while at a central Aurora strip mall parking lot early Sunday police said.
Police were called to the shopping center parking lot at 15064 E. Mississippi Ave. at about 2:15 a.m., police said in a statement.
There, police encountered two men, one suffering “life-threatening” injuries, and the other man seriously wounded. The critically injured man died later after being rushed to a hospital.
The condition of the second shooting victim was not reported.
“Investigators are still trying to determine what led up to the shooting but are actively following up on leads,” police said. “No arrests have been made.”
Police said anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
