AURORA | A 2-year-old boy who drowned in an apartment complex pond Friday night has been identified as Morgan Okolie.
Police found Okolie in an apartment pond at 170 S. Sable Blvd. around 9:15 p.m. Friday. Officers tried CPR on the boy after pulling him from the pond, but he later died at an area hospital.
Police said the case is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
Investigators believe the boy’s mother dropped him and his two older siblings at their babysitter’s apartment on her way to work.
