AURORA | two teens and a juvenile are in custody after a botched marijuana deal lead that lead to a cab driver being shot in the head with a BB gun, police said.

The cab driver, who was struck near his eye, is “fine” and sustained only minor injuries, police said.

According to police, the incident happened around 6 a.m. in northeast Aurora when the two teens — Tahj Hall, 18, and Jaoquin Franco, 18 — took a cab to a home in the 3100 block of Atchison Street to sell a juvenile $60 worth of marijuana.

When they got there, a fight broke out over how much marijuana the pair brought. One of the teens pointed a real gun at the juvenile and at some point the cab driver was shot in the head with a BB gun, the police said.

The juvenile, whose name was not released, was charged withC felony menacing, third-degree assault and reckless endangerment, police said.

Hall and Franco were charged with distribution of marijuana to a minor, felony menacing and obstruction of peace officer.

The incident snarled traffic near the intersection as police searched for the suspect and asked motorists to avoid the area.

About an hour after the robbery an RTD bus struck an Aurora police cruiser, causing minor cosmetic damage. The driver didn’t immediately stop at the scene, said Aurora police spokeswoman Officer Crystal McCoy. The officer whose car was struck, who was not injured, took down the bus number and the driver was later cited for careless driving and not obeying a police officer, she said.
