AURORA | An unidentified man was critically injured Thursday morning after being shot by another man at a central Aurora home, police said.

Officers were called to a house in the 400 block of South Kingston Circle at about 8 a.m. after someone there called dispatchers to report a shooting.

“A man suffering from a gunshot wound was located and transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries,” Aurora police spokesperson Agent Matthew Wells-Longshore said in a statement.  “The shooter was also located and detained and is currently being held for questioning by Major Crimes Unit detectives.”

Investigators said the shooter and victim know each other. What led to the shooting is under investigation.

“No other individuals are believed to be involved, and no arrests have been made at this time,” Wells-Longshore said.
