AURORA | Investigators are looking for a short yellow school bus towing a black trailer that may have people who witnessed shooting at a local Wal-Mart last month may have been riding in.

According to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s office, the bus pulled unto the Wal-Mart on Parker Road near East Florida Avenue on Oct. 27 right around the time a man was gunned down.

In a bulletin released Thursday, sheriff’s investigators said they believe people in the bus may have witnessed the crime.

Deputies responded to the store — which is in unincorporated Arapahoe County, west of the Aurora line — on a report of gunfire around 8:45 p.m. that Monday.

There, investigators found Robert Goldsberry, 60, suffering several gunshot wounds, and rushed him to an area hospital where he later died.

Deputies arrested Daniel Fougner, 54, at the scene and later charged him with first-degree murder, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

Investigators have not discussed a motive or what relationship there was between the two men.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the bus to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP.
