AURORA | Police are investigating the slaying of a woman found dead in an Aurora apartment Tuesday morning, Feb. 9.

According to a statement from Aurora police, officers responded to an apartment in the Cherry Grove East Condominiums at 14434 East First Drive around 9 a.m. There, officers found a woman dead. Police have not released the woman’s name or said how she was killed, but said they are investigating the case as a homicide.

A man in the apartment is a “person of interest” in the woman’s slaying, police said, but they are unsure of his relationship to the woman. The man’s name has not been released.
