AURORA | Police are investigating the death of a man found Monday afternoon, May 16, at a west Aurora apartment as a homicide.

Officers were called about 4:18 p.m. Monday to an apartment at 11913 E. Maple Ave. after a report of a dead body inside. Investigators have not released any details about the death beyond that they believe it was a homicide.

The apartment is located near East Alameda Avenue and South Peoria Street.

As of Tuesday afternoon, police said there was no suspect information to be released. The victim’s identity is pending positive identification by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office and notification of next of kin.
