AURORA | Aurora police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man they say shot at juveniles on Havana Street this week.
“He approached several juveniles in the 2900 block of South Havana Street and fired his weapon off at them while making racial remarks,” police said in a social media post. “One juvenile was nearly hit.”
Police say the man threatened the juveniles with racial remarks before firing a handgun at them Oct. 1.
None of the juveniles were injured.
The man is described as a Black male, 25-35 years old.
He was “last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, black/white shoes, carrying a green backpack and wearing an ID or work badge on a lanyard around his neck,” police said. ‘He may be armed with a handgun.”
Police are advising the public not to approach the man if they spot him, as he may be armed.
Police said anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said
When I read something like this article, I can’t understand why we put up with it.
So when a black person tries to murder asian kids it’s called a bias motivated crime, but when it’s a crime against black people it’s a hate crime? Just want to make sure I understand the terminology correctly.
