AURORA | Police are looking for an 18-year-old woman wanted in connection with the slaying of another woman Wednesday night near East Yale Avenue and Parker Road.
Investigators believe Isabella Guzman fled a house in the 2600 block of South Lima Street shortly before officers arrived there on a report of an “family disturbance.”
When officers arrived at the home shortly after 10 p.m., they found a woman upstairs in “grave condition.” The woman, later identified as Yun Mi Hoy, 47, was later pronounced dead at the home.
The coroner’s office said Thursday that Hoy was the victim of a homicide, but at the request of police declined to say how she was killed.
Police described Guzman as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Investigators are unsure what exactly she was wearing Wednesday night. She attached photo of Guzman.
Detectives from the department’s Major Crime/Homicide Unit are investigating and police said they are waiting for a search warrant to be signed so they can search the home.
Police are asking anyone with information on Guzman to please call 911 immediately. Investigators consider her armed and dangerous.
Investigators are also asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any information to call Detective Mark Yacano at 303-739-6090. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a $2,000 reward by calling Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
