AURORA | Police said a deadly shooting in a central Aurora park early Sunday was linked to a dispute at a nearby house party before the shooting.

Two men, ages 18 and 20, were fatally shot and an 18-year-old woman was seriously injured early Sunday while at Aurora’s Utah Park, according to police reports.

The men were identified Tuesday as Isaiah Ray Chavez Seppelt, 20, and
Ahmad Malachi Richardson, 18.

Investigators said that the incident began earlier in the evening when a fight broke out at a house-party somewhere near the park.

“Several people then left the party and traveled to Utah Park,” police spokesperson Joe Moylan said in a statement.

At about 2 a.m., gunfire broke out in the park at 1800 S. Peoria St.

An unidentified woman injured by gunfire went to a nearby hospital for treatment, and police were notified.

When officers went to the park, they discovered two additional shooting victims, both dead.

“Based on information developed so far, investigators believe this was an isolated incident among known parties, and there is no danger to the public,” Moylan said. “Detectives are actively working to identify the additional suspects involved in the shooting.”

Police said anyone with video or information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
