AURORA | Police said a body discovered Tuesday afternoon in the Sterling Hills neighborhood was an apparent suicide, police said.
Officers were called to the area of East Villanova Place and South Flanders Way at about 1 p.m. after someone discovered the body.
Callers to the Sentinel said the body was leaned against a tree at the intersection.
“The preliminary investigation indicated the death was an apparent suicide,” Aurora police spokesperson Agent Kristopher McDowell said in a statement. “The Aurora Police Department extends its condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this loss.”
No other details were released. The cause of death will be determined by the Arapahoe County coroner office, and they will release the identity of the person at a later date.
