AURORA | Police released body-camera video Thursday, April 21, of a man trying to flee an April 3 traffic stop, dragging an Aurora police officer about 20 yards.

The driver, who police say is 34-year-old Jason Moore, remains on the run.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. April 3 near South Buckley Road and East Exposition Avenue. Police said they pulled the car over because they believed a wanted man was riding in the car.

In the video, police ask the driver, who is speaking on his cell phone, for his license and registration. The man appears to look for the documents before putting the vehicle in drive and speeding off.

The officer can be heard yelling for the man to stop as he pulled alongside the car.

Police said the officer injured his head, leg, and foot, and was treated and released from an area hospital. Police later found the vehicle in the 16700 block of East Tennessee Avenue and the passenger, but have not found the driver.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call police at 303-627-3100 or you Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867). Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a $2,000 reward.
