AURORA | Police released surveillance photos Monday, June 27, of two people wanted in connection with the slaying of a security at an Aurora marijuana store last week.

The pictures show one person wearing a dark colored, full-zip hooded sweatshirt over a red and white striped shirt, blue jeans and gray shoes with white stripes and blue shoelaces. The other person is wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and maroon converse or similar sneakers.

Both suspects appear to have their faces covered.

Police said last week the two suspects were black males.

Police were called to the Green Heart Marijuana Dispensary, 19005 E. Quincy Ave., about 9:44 p.m. June 18 on a report of a robbery and shots fired at the store.

There, police found Travis Mason, 24, wounded. He was later pronounced dead after being taken to a nearby hospital.

Aurora police are asking that anyone with information about the incident call Detective Matthew Ingui with the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit at 303-739-6067. Tipsters can also call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters who call Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward. A reward of $12,000 is being offered for information.
