A man was shot to death Monday night outside a north Aurora apartment complex, police said.
The man, whose name has not been released, was shot around 10:30 p.m. outside the Abrigo Apartments, 12170 E. 30th Ave.
In a statement Tuesday morning, police said officers responded to the apartment complex at 30th and Peoria Street on a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found the wounded man in the parking lot. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.
Investigators have not yet been able to identify the man so his next of kin has not been notified, police said.
Detectives from the department’s Major Crime Unit are investigating the case and no suspect information has ben released.
