DENVER | Authorities have identified the man whose body was found dumped on the side of Interstate 76.
Morgan County Sheriff Jim Crone says 23-year-old Jose “Peppy” Manriquez, of Adams County, was fatally shot. His body is believed to have been left beside the highway sometime Saturday morning.
Manriquez also went by the name Jose Jaquez.
He may have been last seen at a bar Friday night.
The case remains under investigation.
