AURORA | Police continue to search Sunday evening for an 11-year-old Aurora boy who went missing yesterday afternoon from an east Aurora park.

Officers are asking for public’s help in locating 11-year-old Jeremiah.

“Jeremiah is a white male, approximately 5 feet tall and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a black Doberman dog on the front and light blue Jeans,” police said. “He has a green cast on his arm like the one picture.”

He was last seen riding a black-and-red BMX bike, “and left the park on the bike voluntarily,” police said in a social media post Saturday afternoon.

He has not been found as of Sunday evening as cold and snow set in for the night. Lows in the Aurora area are predicted to dip into the low 20s overnight.

“Police have been in contact with Jeremiah’s family and this is now being investigated as a custodial issue,” police spokesperson Sydney Edwards said Sunday. ‘The investigation continues.”

If seen, the public is asked to call 911.
