AURORA | Police said they were able to glean few details from an Aurora man shot and injured Saturday morning by gunfire, because the man wouldn’t talk to officers about what happened.
A family member of the 20-year-old man called 911 at about 8:30 a.m. from an apartment at 11152 E. 16th Ave., saying that the man had been wounded by gunfire.
“When officers arrived at the apartment, no one answered the door,” Aurora police spokesperson Joy Moylan said in a statement.
The man apparently found his own way to a nearby hospital before police arrived at the apartment.
“Officers responded to the hospital, but the patient is not cooperating with the investigation,” Moylan said. “Officers have not yet been able to obtain any information about when and where the shooting occurred.”
Police said they will continue to investigate.

One criminal protecting another?
Otherwise, why?
Who paid the likely $$$$$ for the man’s medical treatment?
