AURORA | Police arrested a man late Saturday they say shot and killed Aurora resident Corey Clemons early Sept. 27 in front of a north Aurora apartment complex during an altercation.
Police said they’ll ask prosecutors to charge Lloyd Rickey Henderson, 36, with first-degree murder in the case.
Few details surrounding the shooting have been released.
Police received numerous calls of shots fired about 5:30 a.m. Sept. 27 at Fitzsimons Apartments, 348 Potomac Way, in the Chambers Heights neighborhood. Dispatchers said they could hear screams about a man being shot. A few minutes later, a woman called dispatchers saying that she had driven Clemons to the emergency room at University Hospital. He later died there from gunshot injuries.
Police said it was Henderson who shot Clemons.
About an hour later, police said dispatchers received another call about another man shot near East 13th Avenue and Richtofen Circle. Police said the two shootings were related, but they did not explain how.
Police revealed Henderson’s identity as a suspect in the shooting last week, saying he was armed and dangerous, and asked for the public’s help in tracking him down. Police did not say whether the arrest came as the result of information from the public.

This poor unfortunate individual needs help, a doctor, a helping hand, a place to stay, a decent car to drive, a few dollars to spend, it’s societies fault, they are to blame for this.
sarcasm huh?
could be if those things were provided when he was a kid he wouldn’t be alleged a murderer today?
‘you can lead a horse to water’ ‘a chicken in every pot’ ‘yours for the asking’ This is the ‘real’ world, not a fantasy.
