AURORA | Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying possible child sex-assault victims by a home repairman they say could be targeting Burmese children in the Aurora area.

Aurora police say Mohamad Arab Bin Shamsur-Alam, 37, was arrested March 27 and faces charges of sexual assault on a child and child enticement.

“In the summer of 2023, Shamsur-Alam was working at a home as a repairman, when he lured two young girls into the bathroom and sexually assaulted them,” police said in a statement. “Through the investigation, it was found that Shamsur-Alam had also assaulted the children at an earlier time while doing maintenance at the home.”

Investigators have appealed to the public because of past allegations and charges against the Shamsur-Alam.

He was arrested in 2019 and accused of indecent exposure and harassment “after he exposed himself to one young girl and pulled down the pants of a young boy,” police said.

“Shamsur-Alam speaks numerous languages including Burmese,” police said. “There is concern he might have been targeting the Burmese community or other immigrant groups in Aurora.”

“We are asking anyone with information on Shamsur-Alam, or anyone who may have been victimized by him, to come forward,” police said. “You can remain anonymous.”

  1. So.rry for the ones he allegedly assaulted.
They probably felt ashamed and kept ito themselves.

If guilty, and not an American Citizen, may he be deported and his home country handle his “incarceration”. (In a grave.)
