AURORA | A Tuesday afternoon Aurora house fire sent one person to the hospital, fire officials said.

The blaze started in a home at 1293 S. Troy St. around 2 p.m.

Fire crews responded and rescued one person using a ladder and one dog, according to tweets from the Aurora Fire Department. The person was taken to an area hospital, the department said, but their condition has not been released.

Crews had the fire under control within a few minutes, according to the department.

The cause of the blaze has not been released.
