AURORA | Two people were shot in Aurora Monday night, one fatally.
According to a statement from Aurora police, officers responded to the 18000 block of East Ohio Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found a wounded man outside a running vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot. The man, who had been shot, was rushed to an area hospital where he later died.
A short time later, police said they received a call from a resident a few blocks away who said a man had shown up on their front porch with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. That man was rushed to an area hospital and his condition has not been released.
Detectives from the Major Crime Homicide Unit and the Crime Scene Investigation Unit are investigating the shootings, which police said involve several different crime scenes.
The names of the two men have not been released. Police said they are looking for other people who may have been involved, but do not yet have suspect descriptions,
