AURORA | An early Friday morning shooting outside an north Aurora bar has left one woman dead and a man injured, Aurora police said.

Police were called to the Montview Bar and Grill on Montview Boulevard and Nome Street at about 1:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, on reports of shots being fired and someone being hit. When police arrived, they couldn’t find any shooting victims but were advised that two shooting victims were at a nearby emergency room.

Witnesses told police that the shooting victims had some sort of altercation with the gunman, who shot both the man and the woman, according to police. The injured man drove himself and the shot woman to nearby University of Colorado Hospital Emergency Room, police said.

Police said the woman later died from her gunshot wound, and the man is expected to survive. Police did not release any information about a possible motive or suspect in the shooting.

Police did not release the name of either victim.
