AURORA | A mobile home fire that left one woman dead early Friday morning was intentionally set, fire officials said.
Aurora firefighters were called to a report of a structure fire about 4 a.m. May 22 on the 1800 block of North Carson Street near Montview and Sable boulevards. One woman found at the site of the blaze was transported to a local hospital, where she later was pronounced dead.
Fire crews were able to quickly get the fire under control. The fire itself remains under investigation.
The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
An Aurora Fire Department spokesperson announced on Twitter that the blaze was intentionally set. Officials haven’t said if they are looking for any suspects.
The spokesperson did not immediately return a cll for comment.
